Release 1.2.0 - Dungeons!

Here it is! Finally!

Thank you all so much for patience in waiting for this update. I honestly apologize for taking so long on this one.

I really value the community that we have built and I could not have hoped for a nicer bunch of players as yourselves. At this particular juncture in human history, it is a real pleasure seeing people enjoying themselves, taking the time to help each other and generally being great to one another!

Hope you all enjoy the update. There will be many more to come and I promise that I will try to keep future updates more regular and in smaller chunks.

I will also look at publishing a roadmap soon, reading through all the suggestions that have accumulated and incorporate them.

Removal of Energy System

  • Energy system for normal levels and survival has been removed. It proved to be a hindrance for new players and irrelevant to established players.

  • Players who purchased Max Energy Booster and Energy Speed Booster will receive 300% more VIP points for these items.

  • Survival now requires Survival Supplies to enter. These can be earned from Daily Zones, Daily Achievements, etc.

Dungeons!

  • Unlock at Honour level 25.

  • There are 7 dungeons at launch, with event dungeons planned for the future.

  • Dungeons are available on specific days of the week.

  • Each dungeon has 10 levels, with progressive rewards and difficulty. These levels cost dungeon items to unlock.

  • Players have a certain number of free entries per day, after which, Dungeon Tokens must be used to enter. Free entries can be increased by increasing VIP level.

  • Dungeon Tokens can be earned from Daily Zones, Daily Achievements, etc.

  • Rewards

    • Ancient Blueprint Fragments

    • Mastery Orb Blueprints

    • Each dungeon drops 2 dungeon specific items that are used for crafting and unlocking dungeon levels.

    • Skill Books and Reincarnation Scrolls. The amounts vary between dungeons.

Mastery System (formerly skill trees)

  • Three new concepts. Mastery Tree, Skill Tree and Mastery Orbs.

  • Mastery Tree 

    • Improves the stats of a hero, as the old skill tree did. 

    • There are 7 levels of Mastery Tree (0-6).

    • Trees are unique per hero and get rerolled if the tree is reset.

    • Each tier of the tree has limited points to assign. This means you now need to choose what build you want.

  • Skill Tree

    • Contains the equippable skills for a hero.

    • Skills now have levels to progress through and split at the end of each path.

    • Each skill has 2 variants once maxed. Only a single variant can be equipped at a time.

    • Each tier of the skill tree is tied to the level of the Mastery Tree.

  • Mastery Orbs

    • Each hero has 4 Passive Orb slots and 2 Skill Orb slots.

    • Slots are unlocked in line with Mastery Tree level.

    • Passive orbs - These increase stats of your hero and/or party. You can equip different orbs, based on your strategy. Some orbs use formation positions to determine which allies to affect, while others may increase a stat of items that have a particular element type, etc.

    • Skill orbs - These orbs alter or add additional effects onto auto attack or active skills.

    • Common orbs can drop randomly from zones.

    • Blueprints for Uncommon and above are dropped primarily in Dungeons. These orbs then require items from specific dungeons to craft, with rarer orbs requiring more item types to craft.

  • Hero Skills and Promotion levels have been reset. All spent Skill Books and Certificates of Promotion will be returned on login.

  • Reworked skill of Tank style classes.

  • Skills have been properly assigned elements.

VIP System

  • VIP points are awarded for watching ads, days played and premium purchases.

  • Most rewards are convenience upgrades only.

  • Viewable by touching the player info banner at the top left.

Referral System

  • Refer up to 10 friends and increase your offline loot by up to 25%.

  • Referred friend receives a Gifted hero with your name. Their tutorials are also conducted by this hero.

  • Both the referrer and referred player receives 500 gems when the referred player joins the game.

  • When the referred player reaches level 15 both players receive.

    • 1000 Gems.

    • 1 Genius Zephy Token.

    • 1 Friend Referral Trinket. Each trinket held increases offline loot by 2.5%. Max 10 per player.

More Leaderboards

  • Leaderboards for the various player statistics.

  • Power and 2 random leaderboards will be shown each day.

  • These can be found in the Friends Popup at the top right.

Balance Changes

  • Workshops now have a maximum queue length of 5.

  • Gold/Gem conversion is now based on offline loot rates.

  • Achievement rewards have been rebalanced.

  • Daily login rewards have been rebalanced.

  • Auto attack elemental damage is now shown on the hero screen. It is based on the item held in the right hand.

QOL

  • PvP and Survival rewards have been moved to use the mailbox system.

  • Added auto-equip button.

  • Added ability to open X amount of loot boxes.

  • Added filtering to crafting.

  • Added ‘Surrender’ button to all game modes.

  • Offline loot indicator now resets immediately after collection.

Cosmetics

  • A Hero Cosmetic Changer item is required to reroll a hero’s appearance. These can be earned from Achievements and from Loot Boxes.

  • Reroll various cosmetic features of a hero. You can lock the features you wish to keep and reroll those you do not want.

  • Added beards.

  • Added more hair and face types.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue that caused the hero avatar to move to the wrong position when changing quickly between tiles.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed entry to zones that had not yet been unlocked.

  • Share button now works correctly. Embedded link has also been changed to use the user’s unique referral link.

  • Survival rank displayed on the zone button should now update immediately upon completion.

  • Fixed issue that stopped certain stats from contributing correctly to hero power. This will result in a boost to players power.

  • Fixed issue where game can sometimes crashes on loading screen at 49%.

  • Upgraded Unity version, this should fix some crashes on specific Android device types.

  • Fixed issue where units would occasionally not get cleared after a battle.

  • Fixed issue that stopped heroes from moving from their spawn point.

  • Improved world chat reliability.

  • Fixed various scrolling issues.

  • Various other small fixes and stability improvements.
